Papa, You were truly an amazing person. I always hoped for one day that I could be as crazy as you were, you had no doubts or worries about anyone watching what you did. Ill miss you but I will always know you will be looking down on everyone. I will continue to be the best I can be because I remember how often you would come and support all of us in any activity that we did. Until we meet again, I love you!!!

Dad,
Because of you I am a lifetime Cub fan. (Actually I should be pissed at you for that one). I always prayed you would live to see them go to the world series. At least you got to see the Bears win the Super bowl.
Your sense of humor is a gift I will always cherish..You made it OK to be "nutty"...The stories will live on..You are now A LEGEND.. I love you always ......Karen

There are no words to make the hurt go away, but may you find comfort in knowing you are not alone . . . and neither is he. The suffering is over; there is only peace now, and yet a tremendous void. You'll miss him always, but remember the great times and what he meant to you.
My heart goes out to the entire Holbrook family during this difficult time. I wish you all comfort and peace.

Aunt Flo, Ellyn, Karen, Diane and all the rest of the family, I am so sorry for your loss. Uncle Stan was a wonderful man and father. Whether he was busy making everyone laugh or trying to convince a very independent niece that she should spend the night instead of driving home late in the night, he loved his family with all his heart. He will be missed terribly. I understand what you are all going through. You are all in my prayers.

Dear Dad, I love you with all my heart! You have fought the battle of a lifetime...Its been many long years that you suffered, I'm glad you are finally at peace. I will miss being able to hug,kiss and tell you I love you. I promise I will still send my love up to you all the time. Please look down upon us to help us all get thru these difficult times and most of all please send you strength down upon mom. You cherished the ground mom walked upon, you were so proud of your daughters and grandchildren....You left us many memories to laugh about. You were always the life of the party....I'm sure your traditions will carry thru with Matt/Mike :-) They seem to have inherited your entertaining style! Dad, you always told me that I wasn't in the Korean War, but I feel as if I were now and I lost my Seargant and best friend! We have both fought hard bettles in life, but you more than I. You, my brave dad have finally won the war! I love you!

Dear Dad.....My heart is heavy, I love you so much. You have left so many happy memories for all of us to reflect upon. You were the life of the party, making everyone laugh all the time. You had a giving heart and were always so proud of your "girls" and your grandchildren. You cherished the ground mom walked on with all your heart. It's been a long painful road for you and the family. Even though your mind wasn't with us for a very long time, I was able to come see you, hug you, kiss you and tell you I love you....I promise I will continue to send my love to you up in heaven. The pain and suffering is over, rest in peace my dear father....
