Obituary Condolences

John Anthony Regan of Palatine for 45 years Visitation for John Anthony Regan, 77, will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Highway, Palatine. Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Monday, at the funeral home, proceeding to St. Theresa Church, for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. Born June 28, 1933, in Chicago, he died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010. John was a Korean War Army veteran. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Fighting Irish and the White Sox. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, World War II history, cooking and he loved to argue. He was the beloved husband of Roberta Regan (nee Dow) for 53 years; loving father of Mary Ann Schubert, Patrick (Laurel) Regan, Karen (Phil) Gilardi, Celeste (Peter) O'Malley, Peggy (Jeff Krillenberger) Regan and Bridget Regan; and cherished grandfather of Matthew, Jeffrey, Alexandra, Lauren, Pierce, Conor, Aidan, Benjamin and the late Kiersten. He also leaves behind his devoted pets, Murphy and Riley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 811 W.
