Obituary Condolences

Eleanor R. Buchsbaum of Huntley Eleanor R. Buchsbaum, 90, formerly of Florida, died peacefully, Monday, Sept. 12, 2011. Eleanor Ruth was born Dec. 1, 1920, the daughter of Pasqualle and Argia (Luccahsi) Li Castro. Eleanor grew up on the North side of Chicago. She married David Franz, who passed away Nov. 22, 1997. Later, she married Alex Buchsbaum. Eleanor was loved by all who knew her. She always had a quick joke to share and was the life of the party. She was the mother of Mary Lou (Lyle) Emory of Huntley and John Franz of Bakersfield, Calif.; the grandmother of Christa, Cynnde, David and Deanna; and great-grandmother of Haley, Brett, Lucas, Erin, Ryane, Autumn, Austin and Ashlee. Eleanor is also survived by her brother, Lou Li Castro of Glen Ellen. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, David Franz and later her second husband, Alex Buchsbaum; her sister, Rosie; and her brothers, Joe, John and Frank. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, at the DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army Home League, 1445 W. Broward Blvd., Ft.
