MARYELLEN SAGARTZ Obituary

MaryEllen Sagartz of Elk Grove Village for 36 years A Mass for MaryEllen Sagartz (nee Strout), 60, will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at St. Julian Eymard Church. Please meet at church. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village. MaryEllen was born in Glenview. She was a retired teacher with the Des Plaines School District, and a volunteer at ABMC at the Cancer Institute. She was the beloved wife of Thomas R. for 36 years; loving mother of Peter (Nicole) Sagartz and Kathryn (Salvador) Hernandez; cherished grandmother of Analia Hernandez; and dear sister of Kathy Barnotes, Susan Beck, James Strout, the late Jan Schunk, and Beth Schraffenberger. She is also survived by many loving brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. I just came upon this notice and I wish to extend condolences to the family of Maryellen Sagartz. We grew up together from grammar school to high school and lost touch after that. Many happy memories including her as Maid of Honor at my wedding. Best of all to extended family and friends. Cathy Walker Eldert.
