Obituary Condolences

John D. Neesley of Naperville John D. Neesley, 89, at rest Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at the Tabor Hills Healthcare facility in Naperville, Ill., was born March 27, 1923, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of the late Herbert and Marie Neesley. He was the beloved husband of Patricia; loving father of Laurel (Gary) Wing and David Neesley; cherished grandfather of Nicholos and Grant Neesley; fond brother of the late Glenn; and dear uncle of Daniel (Alice) Neesley. John served in the U.S. Navy Seabees during World War II in the Pacific Theater. After his return from service, John earned his bachelor of science in chemistry from Ohio State University. He retired from the Amoco Corporation in 1984. He was a former president of the Naperville Rotary Club, served on the hospital boards at Central DuPage Hospital and Edward Hospital, also on the board of directors for the Bank of Naperville and was very active with the Boy Scouts. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Three Fires Council, 415 N. 2nd St., St. Charles, IL 60174. Memorial visitation is Friday, July 6, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Naperville. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 7, at 11 a.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church, 1105 Catalpa Lane, Naperville, IL 60540.
