CAROLE KEPPNER TSUKUNO Obituary
Carole Keppner Tsukuno of Schaumburg Carole Keppner Tsukuno passed away on Oct. 6, 2012. She was welcomed into heaven after courageously battling cancer for eight years. She was born on May 18, 1949, to Wanda and the late James Keppner of Elmhurst, Ill. Carole was the sister of Judy Inverso and Diane (Wallace) Underhill. Carole will be greatly remembered by her neighbors and friends for her enthusiasm, playful spirit and joyous giving. She cherished her family. She was the wife of Paul; and proud mother of Craig (Dallas) and David. Her life was enriched when Craig and Dallas blessed her with her grandson, Liam. Her fighting spirit was an inspiration to all those who knew her. She will be remembered by co-workers from dental offices where she worked as a dental hygienist. She entertained them with her great sense of humor and was a valued clinician. She was active in her church and especially enjoyed teaching Sunday school using her talents with creative projects. Carole spent much of her free time with the local Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. She organized and went on many camping trips, always looking forward to the next one. She created Indian regalia worn proudly by members of the Boy Scout Order of the Arrow. Carole loved to travel with her family and friends, including numerous cruise vacations. She saw much of the world, had unique adventures and met many people. A visitation will be held at Prince of Peace, 930 W. Higgins Road, Schaumburg, Ill. on Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to Operation Smile which benefits children with cleft lips and in impoverished countries.
