Obituary Condolences

Ernest James "Jim" Hurrell a resident of Wheaton Ernest James "Jim" Hurrell was born June 26, 1923, in Chatham, Ontario, Canada, and passed away Nov. 24, 2012, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield. Jim served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a bomber pilot during World War II. He earned a degree in engineering from General Motors Institute and worked his entire career for General Motors. Jim enjoyed being outside fishing and taking care of his house, especially his lawn. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to Lucille (nee Albert); loving father of Albert (Ruth) Hurrell, LaMese (Gordon) Hurrell-Coupe, John (Juli) Hurrell, Bill Hurrell and the late Tom (Dianne) Hurrell; proud grandfather of Gabriel, Elijah, Elizabeth, Simon, Tommy, Mary and Sarah; dear brother of the late Joan (Bob) Kaake, the late Mary DeGrow, the late Hazel (Ward) Anderson; loving brother-in-law of LaMese Davies; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Family and friends to gather Saturday, Dec. 1, for an 11 a.m. memorial service at Trinity Episcopal Chapel, 130 N. West St., Wheaton. In lieu of flowers, donations to Trinity Episcopal Church, Wheaton, appreciated. Arrangements were made by DuPage Cremations, Ltd. and Memorial Chapel, 630-293-5200.
