Obituary Condolences

Rita H. Fink formerly of Mount Prospect Rita H. Fink (nee Schleicher) passed away on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, in Woodstock. Rita was born in Chicago on June 3, 1915, to William and Leona Schleicher. She was the wife of the late John F. Fink. Both her and John worked for Teletype Corp. in Skokie and in retirement moved to Fond du Lac, WI. After John died, she returned to Mount Prospect to be close to family. Rita was active in "St. Ems Gems" and the St. Raymond Women's Club. She loved to play pinochle and bunco. She was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed college football. Rita could crochet an afghan in a week. Rita is survived by her children, Mary Lou (the late Tom) Bychowski of Algonquin, John W. (Katherine) Fink of Huntley and Charlene (Edward) Shallock of Forest, VA; son-in-law, Steven (the late Larayne) Scheibel of Menasha, WI; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter, Larayne; her parents; and brothers, Frank, Robert and George. She will be lying in state Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. until the Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Raymond de Penafort Church, Elmhurst Road (Route 83) at Lincoln St., Mount Prospect. Interment will be in All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Rev. Robert J. Loftus Scholarship Fund in care of St. Raymond School, the St. Mary's Building Fund in care of St. Mary's Church in Huntley or Masses, would be appreciated.
