Russell C. Gerlach of Hoffman Estates since 1960 Visitation for Russell C. Gerlach, 79, will be Monday, Jan. 14, from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Hubert Church, 729 Grand Canyon St., Hoffman Estates. Fr. Robert Rizzo will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery. Born March 24, 1933, in Chicago, he passed away Jan. 9, 2013, at his Hoffman Estates residence. Russell enjoyed a long career as a professional sales manager, specializing in industrial electronics. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed big game hunting, skeet shooting, fishing and golf. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann (nee Toner); sons, Mark, Bradley and Kurt (Maria); and grandchildren, Heather Pizzanello (Richard Triblets Jr.), Matthew Csoka and Patrick Gerlach. He was preceded in death by his parents. Carl and Gladys (nee Pershell) Gerlach. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Alexius Hospice, 1515 E. Lake St., Suite 206, Hanover Park, IL 60133. Arrangements were made by Lloyd Mandel Levayah Funerals, 847-679-3939.
