Obituary Condolences

Frank M. Hassler Frank M. Hassler, 92, of Hinckley, passed away March 19, 2013 at his son's home in Gold Canyon, AZ. He was born November 27, 1920 in Fairfield, IA, the son of Paul M. and Frank (nee Sweetland) Hassler. Frank proudly served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. Frank worked for General Mills as a maintenance manager for almost 18 years until his retirement. Frank loved rural life on his farm property in Hinckley. Frank had a second home in Arizona that he enjoyed visiting during the cold Chicago winters. He loved traveling and camping with his family. He especially enjoyed family reunions. He is survived by his five children, Dennis (Antonio) Hassler, Todd (Judith) Hassler, Frank C. (Lori) Hassler, Autumn (Dan) Cooper, and Melody (Bill) Mors; twelve grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruth Johnson, Doris Farmiloe, and Elizabeth Moseley; a brother, Jack Hassler; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Frank is preceded in death by his first wife, Dawn L. Hassler; his second wife, Dorothy Bergeson Hassler; and siblings, George Hassler, Lavina Ellithorpe, Lois Curnock, Margaret McGinnis, and Paul M. Hassler. Visitation will be held from 4-8 P.M. Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave. (Route 31), Batavia. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, March 25, 2013 at the funeral home. Rev. Greg Skiba officiating. Interment will follow in West Batavia Cemetery. Contributions in Frank's memory may be directed to the Greater Illinois Chapter, 8430 W.
