SUZANNE SEARS Obituary

Suzanne (Suzi) V. Sears of Libertyville Suzanne (Suzi) V. Sears, 64, passed away June 4, 2013 after a valiant battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Suzi was born May 12th, 1949 to Norbert and Florence Heckler in Chicago, IL. On June 6, 1970, she married the love of her life, David Sears, from Macomb, IL. Suzi attended Western Illinois University and earned both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Business Education. She taught at Grayslake High School for 32 years before retiring. Suzi is survived by her husband of 43 years, David; daughter Tami; son Marc (Beverly); grandchildren Joshua and Madison; parents Norbert and Florence Heckler; sisters Louise (Jim) Fazenbaker and Marianne (David) Sandstrom; sister-in-law Sally Sallee; nieces Chris and Missy Sallee. She will always be remembered as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. A Memorial service will be held at Crosslife Evangelical Free Church, 431 W. Austin Ave., Libertyville, IL, on Wednesday, June 19 at 2:00pm, followed by visitation from 2:30-5pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Suzi's name to PAWS Chicago, 1997 N. Clybourn Avenue, Chicago 60614 or Illinois Doberman Rescue, P.O. Box 435 Barrington, IL 60011-0435.
