Obituary Condolences

Larry D. King Larry D. King; 60 years old, of Silver Lake, WI, formerly of Bartlett, IL passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha, WI. He was born August 21, 1952 in Lookout, KY, the son of William and Pauline (Easterling) King, growing up in Abbs Valley, Virginia, moving to Bartlett in 1978, and settling in Silver Lake in 2012. Larry proudly served in the US Army. Before his retirement in 2010, Larry had worked for many years as a foreman for Brandonisio Construction, Batavia, IL and was a proud member of the Sewer and Tunnel Laborers Union Local #2. Larry enjoyed: fishing, gardening, hunting, watching football (especially the Chicago Bears), and loved animals. On November 4, 1978 he married Kathleen Purcell in Arlington Heights, IL. Survivors include: his wife of 35 years Kathy; two children: Danielle King of Portland, OR and Brian King of Silver Lake, WI; his mother Pauline King of Bluefield, WV; three siblings: Kay Cook of Collinsville, IL, Debbie (Tim) Thomas of Ladson, SC, and Vickie (Jeff) Holt of Bluefield, WV; uncle Clete (Phyllis) Easterling of Nenah, WI, cousin Teresa (Bryan) VanCuick of New London, WI; in-laws: Karen (Anthony) Starcevic of Trevor, WI and Charles (Barbara) Purcell of Stewartsville, NJ; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Larry was preceded in death by: his father William, and sister-in-law Patricia (Gene) Devers. Funeral Services will be held 1:30 PM Sunday August 18, 2013 at the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83) Antioch, IL 60002. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Antioch, IL. Visitation will be held from 2PM until 6PM Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Anti-Cruelty Society, 157 W.
