Obituary Condolences

Marjorie A. Snellgrove Marjorie A. Snellgrove, 85, passed away on August 16, 2013 in Bartlett, IL. She was born July 18, 1928, in Elgin the daughter of William and Margaret Muetterties Real. She had been a resident of Elgin all of her life and was a graduate of St. Edward High School in 1946. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Elgin. She was unquestionably accepted into the arms of her Lord immediately upon her death for her remarkable life of giving her love, kindness and sweet personality. Her lifetime goal was to be a good wife, mother and homemaker and excelled in all three. Her family and friends loved her dearly and her memory will always be special. Survivors include her seven daughters; Mary Ann (David) Dunt, of Sycamore, IL, Katherine Snellgrove of Madison, WI, Joan (Gary) Fisher of Elgin, Sue (Matt) Arena of San Jose, CA, Rita (Kirk) Weber of Elgin, Teresa (Joe) McMahon of Elgin, and Annie (Keith) Johnson of Geneva, IL., two sons; Joseph (Marcia) Snellgrove of W. Chicago and Charles (Vicki) Snellgrove of Elgin. She is also survived by 13 grandsons and 8 granddaughters. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bill Snellgrove who adored her and always felt so fortunate to have her, her son, Steve, two brothers, Dick and Tom Real, and a sister, Mary Witte. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, August 19 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1625 W. Highland Avenue, Elgin. Visitation will be on Sunday, August 18 from 4:00-8:00 at Laird Funeral Home in Elgin and Monday from 9:45 A.M. until the time of mass in the church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Elgin.
