WILLIAM L. DUMOULIN Obituary
HAMPSHIRE - William L. Dumoulin, 85, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. He was born September 22, 1928 in Sycamore the son of William and Elizabeth (Umbdenstock) Dumoulin. Bill was a 1946 graduate of Hampshire High School and received his Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Business Administration from Northern Illinois University. Bill married Patricia B. Donnelly on August 21, 1954 at St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb. He was drafted into the Armed Forces, serving in the US Army in occupied Germany in 1955 and 1956. He was a lifelong farmer in Hampshire and served on the United Soybean Board and the State Soybean Board. He was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and had served on the Steering Committee. Bill was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He also had served on the Ella Johnson Library Board as Chairman and also chaired First Farm Credit of Northern Illinois. Surviving are his wife, Pat; sons, Mike (Kam) and Pat (Lisa), and daughter, Mary (Bill) Goad all of Hampshire. He was the proud grandfather of 20. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Geraldine Hart; and a brother, Carl Dumoulin. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Saturday, February 8, at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 297 E. Jefferson St., Hampshire with Fr. Sylvester Nnaso officiating. Burial will be in the St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 PM Friday at the Church with the Rosary at 2:45 PM. Masses or memorials may be directed to the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. The Fredrick Funeral Home in Hampshire is assisting the family. Information call 847-683-2711.
