ARNOLD M. FREDRICKS

WEST CHICAGO - Arnold M. Fredricks, age 52, of Glen Allen VA, former longtime resident of West Chicago, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014. He was born on March 26, 1962 in Farmington, MN to William and Aileen Fredricks. Arnold was united in marriage on August 9, 1986 to Julia Zimmerman. He was a fun loving person who loved his family, was an incredibly proud father and had a special love for his nieces and nephews who knew him so well as "Uncle Arn". Arnold is survived by his wife of 27 years, Julia; daughter Caitlin Fredricks; mother, Aileen Fredricks; sister, Sandy (Dave) Gantz; brothers, Gerald (Debbie) and William "Big Bill" Fredricks; father-in-law, William Zimmerman; brother and sister-in-laws, Mark (Rae), Martin (Barbara), Margaret (late Neill) Sorensen, Kathryn (Frank) Kozlowski, Joseph (Mary), Francis (Charlotte), Walter (Christine), Peter (Kristin), and Kenneth (Sara); uncle of many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, William; sister, Diane; brother, William "Fritz"; and mother-in-law, Adelaide "Adele" Zimmerman. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 3 to 8 pm at Norris-Walen- Segert Funeral Home, 132 Fremont St. (one block north of Washington St. and Main), West Chicago. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Reverend Fred Gaede will officiate. Interment Calvary Cemetery in West Chicago.
