Obituary Condolences

William G. Brinley of Wheaton Visitation for William G. Brinley, 78, of Wheaton, formerly of Bloomfield, N.J., will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton. Services and interment will be private. Born July 2, 1923, in Baltimore, Md., he died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002, at DuPage Convalescent Center in Wheaton. Mr. Brinley participated in the Normandy Invasion in World War II, serving in the Army. He was a graduate of Seton Hall University and worked in the banking industry for 20 years. William was a longtime member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in East Orange, N.J., and later Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Essex Falls, N.J. Most recently he was a member of Wheaton Evangelical Free Church, where, among other things, he was a member of the Men's Bowling League. He also enjoyed serving as a lunch supervisor at Washington Elementary School in Wheaton. Surviving are his children, Paul (Anne Marie) Brinley of Wheaton and Barbara (Greg) Davis of Succasunna, N.J.; granddaughters, Kristen, Beth, Janelle, Emily and Kimberley; brother, Robert (Diana) Brinley of Andes, N.Y.; sister, Peggy (Rocco) Capetto of Gillette, N.J.; sister-in-law Isabelle Monk of Wayne, N.J.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Antoinette Brinley (nee Mauriello), whom he married in 1952, and who passed away in 1993. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Wheaton Evangelical Free Church, 520 E. Roosevelt Road, Wheaton, IL 60187.
