Thomas L. Fogel of Lindenhurst Funeral services for Thomas L. Fogel, 61, will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch, 1055 Main St. (Route 83), Antioch. Interment will be in Millburn Cemetery, Old Mill Creek, Ill. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Born Aug. 28, 1946, in Champaign, Ill., the son of the Melvin and Marie (nee Herdeen) Fogel, he passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. Thomas was a member of The Chapel in Grayslake, and had served in the Army during Vietnam. He attended the Lake Forest School of Management, where he earned his MBA. Thomas was a regional service manager for several different corporations including RCA. He was the president of Waukegan Avionics, Inc., a partner in a family business-Models Plus, Inc. in Grayslake, and was currently the police commissioner in Lindenhurst. Thomas' interests included golf, working on his '55 Ford truck, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. On Aug. 5, 1966, Thomas married Mary Hinton in Bement, Ill. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Mary; two sons, Jared (Dominique) and Jeffrey (Debbie), both of Antioch; his mother, Marie Fogel of Monticello, Ill.; four grandchildren, Mia, Veronica, Jason and Vera; and two sisters, Karoline (Jim) Blair of Greenwood, Ind. and Deanna (Leland) Lourash of Monticello. He was preceded in death by his son, Jason; grandson, Jason; brother, David; and an infant brother, Charles. Contributions to The Chapel, 25270 W.
