Funeral service for Kathryn H. Calhoun, age 87, will be Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Kilgroe Funeral Home. Interment will be in St. Clair Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Calhoun passed away April 15, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Ernest Calhoun; daughter, Kathy Dianne Dorough; and her parents Earl & Lela Howard. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother. She was very dedicated to her church and family. She is survived by 2 sons, Kenneth Ray (Dianne) Calhoun, William Howard (Jessica) Calhoun; 2 daughters, Barbara (Harold) Bryant, Linda (Kenneth) Bryant; 3 brothers, Jimmy Howard, Billy Howard, Glenn Howard; 3 sisters, Sara Drummonds, Dimples Dunn, Vickie Stephens; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. Condolences may be offered online at www.kilgroefh.com Kilgroe Funeral Home in Pell City will direct the service.
