Adams, Virgilee - Sylacauga  
Mr. Virgilee Adams, age 89, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 surrounded by his loved ones. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 Tuesday, Janaury 27, 2015 at the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 at Curtis and Son Funeral Home. Dr. Charles Moore officiating. Mr. Adams was a lifelong resident of Coosa County. He was a veteran of WWII and was a brick mason by trade. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was also a member of Grimes Chapel Baptist Church and loved his family and friends dearly. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Christine "Kitty" Adams. Other survivors include two sons, Mac (Judy) Adams and Clay (Jennifer) Adams; four daughters, Jennifer (Leon) Gill, Jane (Ray) Guy, Rhonda (Charlie) Adams, and Jill (Jason) Dennis. Grandchildren are Jodi (Jason) Pate, Nathan (Brandy) Mizzell, Gina (Chris) Choniard, Jessica Adams, Noah Nolte, and Jordan Bryant. He is also survived by six great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Todd Adams, Shane Adams, Dillon Adams, Wayne Barnett, Jason Pate and Mike Aaron. Honorary pallbearer, Greg Adams. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Grimes Chapel Baptist Church or your favorite charity. Graveside service for Mavis Baxter, 89, will be Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Blois Walker officiating. Mrs. Baxter passed died on Wednesday January 27, 2015 at High Ridge Assisted Living in Boynton Beach, FL. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Earl Cook and William Baxter; granddaughter, Brittney; mother, Mary Elizabeth Castleberry; father, John Robert Smith; siblings, Vinnie, Lillie, Elgin, Ruth, Polly, Leavis and Robert. She was a resident of Sylacauga and also of Florida. When she was in Florida her heart was in Sylacauga. She is survived by her daughters, Marsha Linville and Dianne Miller; step-daughter, Kay Luebs; grandchildren, Jami Dianne, Pim and Zak; five great-grandchildren. Funeral service for Mrs. Jettie Willodene Hickman Bryan, 90, will be Friday, January 30, 2014 at 12 noon at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Bryan passed away January 26, 2015 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Jerry H. Bryan and her parents, Ira Champion and Lela Mitchell Hickman; daughter, Carol Patricia Bryan Bobo Bussey and a son, James Mark Bryan. Mrs. Jettie Bryan was a Baptist minister's wife for almost 60 years. She is survived by son and family, Rusty Bryan (Donna) of Alpharetta, GA; grandsons, Josh Bryan (June) of Atlanta, GA, Bo Bryan (Michelle) of Alphreta, GA; great grandson, Hunter Morrow; daughter and family, Elayne Taylor (Johnny); granddaughters, Megan Taylor Ladwig (Logan) and Meredith Taylor; great grandson, AJ Ladwig; granddaughters, Kelley Bobo Sweeney (Michael) and Nikki Bobo; great grandson, Liam Sweeney; great granddaughter, Lilly Harper Sweeney all of Atlanta, GA; brother, L.P.
