PELL CITY - Danny Ray Rickles, age 64, of Pell City, Alabama went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Wednesday July 3, 2013, surrounded by his family at home after a long battle of an unfamiliar disease known as dvFrontal Temporal Dementia.Ê His happiest of times was traveling to Israel to experience and walk where His Savior did and doing what he loved the most-spending time with family, shown by celebrating birthdays and holidays, cook-outs, camping and traveling with them.Ê He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years Diane Epperson Rickles; parents Rev. E.C. and Ann Rickles; Father-in-law Billy Epperson and Step-father-in-law Warren Strong; brother Kenneth Rickles; and Sister-in-law Gilda Ingram Rickles. He is survived by his children Kevin Rickles (Sherry), Eve R. Brittian (Dale), and Jill R. Smith (Jimmy). Grandchildren Justin (Kasey), Ryan and Savannah Rickles; Mason, Olita, Niko Teofilo, Nick (Michelle) and Amanda Brittian; and Ethan and Landon Smith. Great Grandchildren Emma and Bella Rickles; Marshall Teofilo, and Adam Straw. Mother-in-law Joyce Strong. Siblings Ralph Rickles, Teresa R. Gibson (Jeffrey), and Regina R. Howard (Chris). Sister-in-laws Gayle Ingram Rickles and Tammy E. Stewart (Tommy); and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and an uncle. Funeral arrangements Saturday July 6, 2013 at Usrey Funeral Home located on the outskirts of Pell City (Coal City area) with viewing 12:00-2:00, funeral service at 2:00 and followed by graveside service across the street at St. Clair Memorial Gardens. He will forever be loved and missed on this earth but thanks to the Promise one day we shall see each other again!
