Hughie Boolum Player

Mr. Hughie Boolum Player was born to Leora Player and Mr. McKinley (Dinah) Green on September 11, 1937, in Sylacauga, Alabama. At an early age he joined the Mt. Home Baptist Church, Sycamore, Alabama, serving faithfully until his death, on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 when the Lord called him home to eternal rest. May his soul find peace, favor and acceptance with his maker and indeed may his good works live on. He was a retired worker at Avondale Mills with 35 years of experience. He was preceded in death by his father Mr. McKinley Green, his mother Mrs. Leora Player, three sisters, Ms. Frances Barber and Mrs. Mary Ruth Phillips, Mrs. Elizabeth Green, two brothers Mr. Eddie Player, and Mr. Richard Player, three grandchildren: Master Kameron Owens, Master Justin Player and Master Jordan Player. He leaves to cherish a devoted wife, Mrs. Sally Player of Sycamore, AL, five daughters, Teri (Kenneth) Owens, Monica Player, both of Sylacaug, AL, Thomasina McGhee, Stefanie Player both of Sycamore, AL and Cynthia (Michael) Hale of Washington, D.C.; one son Willie (Denise) Twymon of Oxford, AL, two brothers, Mr. James (Mary) Player of Sycamore, AL and Deloris (Marilyn) Player of Tuskegee, AL, and one sister, Annie Barber, four sisters-in-law, Betty Powell, of Sylacauga, AL, Mary Player of Sycamore, AL, Marie Player of Talladega, AL and Marilyn Player of Tuskegee, AL and one brother in law Mr. Charles Barber of Sycamore, AL, eleven grandchildren Darius Owens and Kendall Owens of Sylacauga, AL, Darquon Owens, Goodwater, AL, Chiquita (Timothy) Richardson of Montgomery, AL, April McGhee, Carol McGhee, and Jamal McGhee all of Sylacauga, AL, Nia Twyman, Cedric Twyman both of Oxford, AL, Contorreus Twyman, Catoya Hale, South Korea, Crystal Hale, Mobile, AL, Jamal Hale, Washington, D.C., four great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
