Mrs. Martha D. Wooten

SYLACAUGA - Funeral service for Martha D. Wooten, 83, will be Monday, July 22, at noon at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Bob Owen officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga.
Mrs. Wooten died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.
Martha loved God and trusted Jesus with her life on Earth and forever after. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had many friends and nothing on Earth was more important to her than her family and friends. She was a dedicated servant to the community and her church, Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed many years of service to the Sylacauga Beautification Council, the ARC, and the Birmingham Rose Society. She loved to cook and will long be remembered for her famous strawberry torte, her old-fashioned pecan pie, her pork tenderloin and fatmama's egg custard. She was a gifted artist with needle and thread. She is a treasure to all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Samuel F. Wooten; daughters, Connie W. Boyter, husband J. Earle, of Vero Beach, Fla., Anne W. Ryals, husband Tommy, of Alabaster, brothers, Fred Dickson of Pickens, SC, and Edwin Dickson of Augusta, Ga.; sister, Sarah Caldwell if Cartersville, Ga.; grandchildren, Ashley Stock, Casey Ryals and Zach Ryals; great-grandchildren, Samantha Boyter and A.J. Stock.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 21, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Earle Boyter, Tommy Ryals, Zach Ryals and Andy Stock.
