Mary Laurine Entrekin, 66, of Talladega Al, passed away on Sunday June 22, 2014. The visitation and gravesite funeral will take place on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Usrey Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Then to Pine Hill Memorial Gardens at 2:00 p.m for the graveside service and burial where Pastor Wesley Johnson of Talladega Creek Baptist Church will be officiating. Mary was born in D'iberville Mississippi December 16, 1948, she grew up in Biloxi Mississippi where as a young women married a young AirForce man, and they were soon stationed at Colorado Springs AirForce Academy. They had two children and relocated to Indiana where she continued to be a homemaker and mother. She later returned to her beloved south and worked at the Industries for the Blind for over 25 years before her retirement in April of 2010. In her last years it was her church and her love of family and friends that saw her through, she enjoyed being needed and taking care of others. Mary is survived by her daughter Patricia Hoffman and son David Martin, Grandsons, Justin Kidwell, Jared Birge and Jacob Birge, Granddaughters Kelsea Chiu la, Alex Satterwhite, and Zoe Martin, with one great grandaugther Ayla Kidwell and one nephew Emmit Entrekin. She is Preceeded in death by her father Carol and mother Grace and several brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to Talladega Creek Baptist Church. The family Patricia Hoffman and David Martin wish to thank Talladega Creek Baptist Church and all the nurses from Talladega Health Care who were there when she passed.
