Stanley Cain Obituary

GULF SHORES – Memorial service for Stanley Jerome Cain, 56, of Gulf Shores will be Thursday, Jan. 2, at 4 p.m. at Curtis and Son North Chapel. Visitation is from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 2, at Curtis and Son North Chapel.
Mr. Cain died Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Onzell Cain; and father, Horace Cain. He graduated from Childersburg High School in 1975. He worked as lead tractor mechanic at Kimberly Clark for 25 years. He then went to work with ICT LLC as a foreman for Mars Corporation.
He is survived by his son, Stanley Jerome Cain II of Gulf Shores; daughter, Kristen Cain Scroggins (Aaron) of Birmingham; brother, Steve Cain of Childersburg; Sandi Piper (Mike) of Medina, OH; niece, Jamye Yates Carpenter (Andy) of Birmingham; and great-nieces, Audrey Carpenter and Sarah Kaye Carpenter.

I was a classmate of Stan's and were good friends. I lost touch with him and other close classmates when I moved away after graduation in 1975. But thanks to Facebook we were able to keep in touch. I will miss him. My prayers go out to his children and family.
