I have sweet memories of Candy Sue when I attended Southside Baptist Church. We were in the Youth Choir and traveled and sang the Word Of God. We ate pizza at Pasqueles after church on Sunday nights. Candy Sue and Charles were true blessings to me in those days.

To my extended family…..Candy Sue was such a blessing to have in my life and my daughter's. With her friendship we also established new friends with Charles, Emily and Jon Paul and this we are thankful for. Whether you banked with Candy Sue, went to school with her children, attended church with her or fortunate enough to graduate during the 70’s. Candy Sue left a mark on everyone she met. She loved life and lived it to its fullest….We all know how much she loved to go shopping; Hallmark was one of her favorite stores and she kept them in business for years with all the cards she would send. A God given talent, she always knew when you needed a card……

My prayers for the family is that God will guide you through this dark period and his love with comfort you during this difficult time. Your loss is felt my so many and I am here if you need anything.

Miss you my friend but I thank God everyday for giving me such a wonderful friend and “THANKS FOR ALL THE MEMORIES”...

Before Candy Sue and I got our drivers licenses, she would ride her Daddy's riding lawnmower from her house up Heath Street to my house. The first time she did it, I heard noise and ran out onto the front porch, and just LAFFED! Here comes Candy Sue, and she is SERIOUS!!! She would also wake me up REALLY early on summer mornings, or weekends, when I wanted to sleep late, and say "Come ON!!" And I always did...and always had fun. Rainy summer days playing Rook for HOURS with Shane, Len, Ernie and Candy Sue. TRYING to get our hair to be straight, no success. She taught me how to roll hair on big curlers with perfect precision. I never knew!!! I love that girl. We learned to waterski together, at her Daddy's lot down on the river. Jon Paul and Emily, I have pictures of ya'll from the very beginning. Candy Sue is so proud of you. OH, and the grandbabies??!! Well, you know how she is.... :) :) Love ya'll

Candy Sue meant a lot to me and my family. When my mother was stricken with cancer in 2002, Candy Sue sent her a card everyday for months. When my brother passed away she was there for our family. Since I live so far away, she would take flowers, etc. to the Hepzabah Cemetary for me. She will be greatly missed as she had a heart of gold. For her family I feel your pain.

Candy Sue and I worked at the Talladega National bank in the late 1970's. Many times ,I marvelled at her quick mind and her quick typing of bank account numbers that had to be programmed into a really fast computer. She had a quick mind ,and as quick as she was doing all that, she was just as easy going and humorous, and did not mind laughing , making others feel at ease around her. I knew her as a good friend, my mother's friend and I will never forget that laugh! I am an Alabama fan, but Candy Sue was a big Auburn fan. Maybe the biggest fan ever! I want to say , I loved Candy Sue, I will miss her so much. -Lisa Williamson

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
