MONTGOMERY - Cecily Trussell Huffaker, age 39, suddenly passed away on January 30, 2013. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama to William James and Isabella Cody Trussell on June 4, 1973. She graduated from Pell City High School in Pell City, Alabama, and received her undergraduate degree from Birmingham Southern College in 1995 where she was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. Cecily attended the University of Alabama School of Law, obtaining her Juris Doctorate degree in 1999. She moved to Montgomery, Alabama in 1999 following her marriage to R. Austin Huffaker, Jr. She was the proud mother of two special children, Mary Virginia (age 10) and Robert (age 9). Cecily was actively involved with her church, St. John's Episcopal Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and on the pastoral care committee. Cecily leaves behind her husband of 13 years, R. Austin Huffaker, Jr.; her two children, Mary Virginia and Robert; her parents, Bill and Isabella Trussell of Pell City, Alabama; her brother, Alan C. Trussell (Olivia) of Kennesaw, Georgia; her nieces and nephews, Benjamin C. Trussell and Chloe V. Trussell of Kennesaw, Georgia, and Ann K. Huffaker and Matthew L. Huffaker, Jr. of Birmingham, Alabama; mother-in-law, Kitty Huffaker of Montgomery, Alabama; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Cecily will be interred in a family ceremony next to her father-in-law, Robert A. Huffaker, at First United Methodist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. Following the interment, the family will receive friends at St. John's Episcopal Church beginning at 12:30 p.m on Saturday, Feb. 2nd. A Memorial Service at St. John's will follow at 2:00 p.m. The family suggests that memorial donations be made in lieu of flowers to St. John's Episcopal Church, 113 Madison Ave., Montgomery, Alabama, 36104.
