PELL CITY - Dr. Denver R. Anderson, 77, of Pell City passed away Thursday. He was a Korean veteran, serving aboard USS Princeton and USS Boxer with Fighter Squadron 193. He was a graduate of the Chamber of Commerce Leadership Program. He graduated at the University of Alabama with an ED.S degree. He was a former teacher, coach and principal. He served as EO of The Huntsville Board of Realtors for over nine years; was a member of Pell City Rotary Club, past president of Madison County Retired Teachers, member of Kappa Phi Kappa & Phi Delta Kappa, and past president of the Huntsville Association of School Administration.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; daughter, Janice Plasterer and husband David of Huntsville; sons, Michael Anderson and wife Susan of Marietta, GA, and Mark Anderson and wife Laura of Huntsville; nine grandchildren; and brother, Obert Anderson of Kansas City, MO.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor James Blair officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Laughlin Service Funeral Home in Huntsville will direct the service.
