Edna Barnett Beasley passed away on April 8, 2014. Funeral services for Mrs. Beasley will be on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 3PM at Sycamore Baptist Church. Visitation will be on April 12, 2014 at the church from 1-3PM. Rev. Mike Owen and Rev. Herman Parker will be officiating the services. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jule D. Beasley; one grandson, Robin Roberts and eight sisters. Her main priority in life was her family and serving the Lord Jesus Christ. For 75 years she was a faithful member of Sycamore Baptist Church serving in many different capacities through the years. She was multi-talented and her many pursuits in life included baking, gardening, hunting, fishing, bowling, playing softball, and golfing. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Cecile) Beasley and David Beasley; three daughters, Dianne (Terry) Thrash, Sharon Hopkins (Karl Sutterlin) and Yolande Gardner (Larry) ; 14 grandchildren, Ken (Melissa) Roberts, John (Roberta) Beasley, Julie (Bill) Hughes, Arista (Jerry) Rayfield, Dana Ryan, Jacqueline (Chuck) Whited, David (Jennifer) Craddock, Joe Hopkins (Teresa) Jr., Jessica Hopkins, Kristen (Stan) Weldy, Dave Beasley, Leigh (Ron) Gofourth, Jennifer (Eric) Fass, Nick (Shelley) Gardner; 25 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
