Elva Jo Bobbitt Bonner, 71, wife of the late Robert Edgar Bonner, passed away March 10, 2013 at Oakleaf Village. Mrs. Bonner was born in San Diego, CA on September 9, 1941 to the late Mary Ruth Miller Bobbitt and Joseph Franklin Bobbitt. Mrs. Bonner graduated from Sylacauga High School, in Sylacauga, Alabama, and from Sylacauga School of Nursing where she earned her RN license. Mrs. Bonner was a member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church, in Lexington, SC. Surviving Mrs. Bonner are her son, Robert Todd Bonner, daughter-in-law, Carin Gray Bonner, grandson, Robert Gray Bonner of Charlotte, NC. Her daughter Tara Leigh Bonner Corley, son-in-law, George Adam Corley, grandsons, Brandon Adam Corley, and Joseph Collin Corley of Lexington, SC. As well as her brother, Billy Tilford Bobbitt of Sylacauga, Alabama. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Mt Horeb United Methodist Church, Lexington, SC. On Thursday, March 14, 2013 there will be a graveside service at 2:00 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Sylacauga, Alabama. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm at Curtis & Son Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
