Funeral service for James Quinton Richey, age 80, will be held Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lighthouse Community Church in Harpersville. Interment will be in Harpersville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 am to 1 pm at the church. Mr. Richey is preceded in death by his parents, James & Jessie Richey; sons, Tommy "T.O." & Andy Richey. He was retired from the Social Security Administration, founder of Richey's BBQ in Harpersville and member of Lighthouse Community Church. He is survived by wife, Florence M. Richey; 4 sons, Amos (Cindy) Richey, Joel Lynal (Jessica) Richey, Todd (Melissa) Childres, Jason (Kristi) Childres; daughter, Stephanie (Mike) Tinney; daughters-in-law, Rita Richey, Pam Richey; 3 brothers, Wendell (Faye) Richey, Johnny (Amy) Richey, Gary (Brenda) Richey; 3 sisters, Donnis Martin, Peggy Anderson, Carolyn (Jim) Bentley; 20 grandchildren.
