Mrs. Kathleen Golden Osbourn, 76, passed from this life at her home in Childersburg, Alabama on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. Visitation will be Friday, February 21, 2014 at Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Frank Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery in Childersburg, AL. She was known as "Nana" by her grandchildren and that was one of her greatest sources of joy. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, charter member of Coosa Valley Quilters Club, Mountain View Homemakers Club, faithful library patron, wonderful wife, mother and faithful servant to our Lord Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gertrude and W.T. Golden. She is survived by her husband, Dewey Houston Osbourn of Childersburg; daughter, Marilyn Haynes, husband Ben of Sylacauga; son, Ron Osbourn, wife Lori of Childersburg; daughter, Lisa Pody, husband Winston of Childersburg; son, John Osbourn, wife Brandi of Childersburg; sister, Jane Strickland, husband Morris of Dadeville; sister, Martha Sherbert of Talladega; brother, Tommy Golden, wife Amie of Dixon Mills; sister, Brenda Edmondson, husband Tommy of Prattville; brother, Buford Golden of Dixon Mills; brother, Paul Golden, wife Pat of Childersburg; sister, Becky Johns of Alabaster; grandchildren, Amanda Sweat, husband Garrett of Dothan, Abby Haynes, fiancée Jordan Carter of Birmingham, Allie Haynes of Birmingham, Gina Wilcox, husband Derek of Hoover, Mitchell Osbourn of Hoover, Katy Osbourn of Childersburg, Madison Pody of Childersburg, Ian Osbourn of Childersburg, Silas Osbourn of Childersburg and Alayna Osbourn of Childersburg. The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to the Gertrude Golden Scholarship Fund, C/O Martha Sherbert, 212 Maine Street, Talladega, AL 35160. Pallbearers will be Mitchell Osbourn, Tim Osbourn, Andy Osbourn, Brian McDaniel, Wayne Sherbert and Jacob Tucker. Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.
