SYLACAUGA- Born February 27, 1915 in La Grange, Georgia. She moved to Sylacauga in 1932 with her parents, H. J. and Emmie Leverette and two brothers, Trammell and Emmett Leverette, all now deceased. Miss Leverette was a member of Sylacauga First Baptist Church where her relative Rev. Wash Wilkes, was once pastor. She taught children's Sunday School for many years and later active with her Adult Sunday School Classes. She was a member of the historical committee that researched the data for the one hundred year history book of First Baptist Church. Miss Leverette was a member of the Pilot Club of Sylacauga for many years. She loved her family, travel, friends and crossword puzzles. Margaret Leverette is survived by her niece, Lynn Campbell of Talladega, her nephew Judson Leverettte, Jr. and his wife Cindy from Jacksonville, Fl. and two great nephews, Sean Campbell from San Diego, California and E. J. Leverette, III from Jacksonville, Fl. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Tim Childers officiating. Visitation will be held at Curtis and Son North Chapel Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 5-7 PM. Family will receive flowers or donations may be made to the First Baptist Church.
