Nancy Carolyn (Alfont) Hanley, 73, of Muncie, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 while under the gentle and professional care provided by Southern Care's Hospice nurse Ms. Jennifer Kirkland, RN. Ms. Hanley was born on April 30, 1939 in Muncie, Indiana to John F. and Madge E (Parker) Alfont. Survivors include her beloved children and their families; daughter, Robin Hyman, husband Mike, three grandchildren, Adrienne, Emily and Ben in Colorado; daughter, Lisa Channell, husband Floyd, one granddaughter AnnaMarie in Georgia; Ted Miller, wife Suzie, two grandchildren, Ashley and Blake in Georgia, Shane Hanley, two granddaughters, Jessica and Maegan in Alabama; and a great-granddaughter Jocelyn Olivia Hanley. Ms. Hanley has given her life to God since 1974, living a truly devoted, sinless life, praying daily for the dear souls of her beloved children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. "Mother, though we never made that last trip to the ocean, to see the waves flowing, your ship has come in, just pass the horizon and right where the sky ends. God has taken you to a better place than we have ever been. We miss you so much; you were all that we ever had, now that you're gone. We know that only God will be able to mend. Love Always, Your Children." Memorial messages may be sent to the family at Radney-Smith Funeral Home will direct the service.
