Funeral services for Sharon Lavon Wallace Stennis, 66, will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Anthony G. McKinney will be the eulogist. Interment will be in Pine Hill Memorial Park. Ms. Stennis will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Ms. Sharon Lavon Wallace Stennis was born on May 12, 1952 in Talladega, Alabama to the late Warren H. Wallace and the late Lucile Kelley Wallace. At an early age, Ms. Stennis united with Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church and later with Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church in Anderson, Indiana. She was a graduate of Westside High School. Sharon was employed with First Person Inc. for a number of years. On Tuesday, January 8, 2019, Sharon received her call to be with the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Lucile Wallace; and two sisters, Mary Alice Wallace and LaTanga T. Wallace. Sharon leaves to mourn her passing: two children, Gregory D. (Laquita) Hall of Mobile, Alabama and Tiffany N. Stennis of Anderson, Indiana; four grandsons, Xavier Hall, Ahson Chamberlain, Derick Nobles and Devin Nobles; four granddaughters, A'leagh Campbell, Mya Nobles, A'Naja Stennis and Victoria Nobles; two brothers, Warren H. Wallace of Anniston, Alabama and Harry Tiran (Willie) Wallace of Grafton, Virginia; five sisters, Helen Faye Carter of Saturn, Tennessee, Deborah C. (Earl) Richardson of Evans, Georgia, Linda Faye Wallace of Huntsville, Alabama, Michelle Regina (Anthony) McKinney of Munford, Alabama and Sonja Yvette Wallace (Ronald) McCall of Montgomery, Alabama; a special son she cared for, Wesley Baird; three special God grandchildren, Shenille Singleton, K'Marea Fairer and Kyri'Yah Hendrix; special friends, Dorothy Kelley, Juanita Cottrell, Rita Walters, Bobbie Singleton, Teresa Shirley, Jennifer Baylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
