Tony Edward Edmondson, 65, of Fayetteville passed away at his residence on Saturday, May 17, 2014. Graveside services will be Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Fayetteville Cemetery with Rev. Paul Vick officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home. Tony was born in Talladega County on May 6, 1949 to James and Mavis Edmondson. He graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1967. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971. Tony was a member of the Fayetteville United Methodist Church. He was employed for over 20 years at Kimberly Clark Corporation and he was a livestock dealer for many years. Tony was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce and several uncles and aunts. He is survived by his daughter, Toni E. Curles, husband Marc; grandson, Jesse Goss; sisters, Gail Thompson, Fay Blair, husband Tommy and Becky Bowling; uncle, Tom Edmondson, wife Margaret; aunts, Nell Stansell and Johnnie Edmondson; nieces and nephew; daughter, Skye Adair; and friend, Lynn Pruitt The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Fayetteville United Methodist Church, 5441 Old Fayetteville Road, Sylacauga, AL 35151. Pallbearers will be Tommy Blair, Newton Sanders, Toby Roberson, Jeff Carpenter, Randy Brasher and Steve Brasher. Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.
