SYLACAUGA - Graveside services for James Luther (Luke) Baggett , 79, we be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 25 at Curtis and Son Funeral Home's North Chapel. The Rev. R.L. Morris will officiate. The visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 25 at Curtis and Son North Chapel. Burial will be at New County Line Cemetery.

Mr. Baggett died April 22 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and two brothers Dalton and Clay.
He was the Police Commissioner in Midfield, a member of the City Council in Midfield, Honorary Deputy Sheriff of Jefferson County, a life-long member of the N.R.A., and a very devoted family man and friend.
He is survived by his wife Lerlene Baggett of Sylacauga, his son James Luke (Tracy) Baggett of Pell City, two daughters Terry Lynn (Joey) Bruno of Montevello, Tracy Leigh (Rex) Taylor of Sylacauga, his brother Fred Baggett of Saddy Daisy, Tenn., his grandchildren Tristan, Brittany, Brandy, Heather, Justin, Bethany, Blake, and Kyle, and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: James (Luke) Baggett, David Cole, T.R. Bunn, Kyle Russell, Rex Taylor, and Joey Bruno.
