Graveside service for Gordon Earl Butler, 83, will be Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Fayetteville Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Paul Williams officiating. Burial will be at Fayetteville Cemetery. Mr. Butler passed away February 17, 2014 at his residence. He served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea, a deacon and member of Fayetteville Baptist Church, retired from Kimberly Clark Corp. He is survived by son, Donald Butler of Fayetteville; daughter, Deborah Butler of Fayetteville; brother-in-law Billy Tom Mathews (Norma Jean (Nancy) of Winterboro, AL; sister, Jeanette Chandler (Ernest Sr.) of Fayetteville; 2 grandchildren, Teresa L. Turney (Jimmy Simmons) of Alex City, Clay Earl Butler of Sylacauga; several nieces and nephews and great neices and nephews.
