Funeral service for Odell Camp, 87, will be Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 2 PM at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel with the Rev. Paul Hickman officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery. Mrs. Camp died March 3, 2014 at her residence. She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years. She was a loving mother and homemaker who enjoyed many activities among them, women's touch football and softball in her younger years. She later, bowled in a bowling league. In later years, she and her husband enjoyed many years of camping at Wing Creek. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ella Crumbley; granddaughter, April Dawn Craig; 4 brothers; 5 sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, Henry S. Camp; sons, Henry Jackson "Jack" Camp (Nancy) of Chelsea, John B. Camp (Kay) of Childersburg; daughter, Melody Ann Craig (Tommy) of Pensacola FL; grandchildren, Shane Camp of Chelsea, J.D. Camp (April) of Talladega, Matthew Craig (Heather) of Pensacola, FL, Tracy Maddox of Ocean Springs, MS, Melanie Maddox of Gulf Shores; great grandchildren, Lauren Camp of Birmingham, Damon Camp of Sylacauga, Reagan Camp and Gunner Camp of Talladega, Reese and Lindsey Royals of Gulf Shores, Randy Scott Fallon; sister, Faye Frye (Ormand) of Pensacola, FL; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, March 6, 2014 from 1-2 at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel. Pallbearers will be Reese Roylas, J.D. Camp, Shane Camp, Danny Cleckler, Matthew Craig, Tracy Maddox, and Steve Mahaffey. Special thanks to the staff of Amedisys Hospice for their care. Also, special thanks to all her wonderful caregivers especially for Lynn Conn and Daphine Queen.
