Funeral service for James Lyvan (Van) Bryant, 48, will be Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Donald Grice officiating. Burial will be in Shelvin Rock Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL. Mr. Bryant died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Bryant; brother, Willie Bryant, Sr.; sister, Doreen Bryant. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Bryant of Alpine; daughters, Kim Ferguson husband Albert of Moody and Megan Carnes, husband Andrew of Alpine; step-son, Josh McLaughlin of Moody; mother, Willodean Bryant of Fayetteville; sister, Mavis Bryant of Billingsley, AL; brothers, David Bryant and Randy Bryant both of Fayetteville; granddaughter, Tessa Ferguson of Moody, grandsons, J.J. Carnes of Alpine, James Carnes of Alpine and Tristian Ferguson of Moody; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Earnie Moore, Jr., Christian Guerreno, William Bryant, Jr., Jason Pardue, Michael Moore and Danniel McCrory. Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.
