Graveside service for W.F. Murray, Jr., 87, will be Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Old Union Cemetery with the Reverend Jon Anderson officiating. Mr. Murray passed away November 26, 2012 at Russell Medical Center in Alexander City, AL. Mr. Murray was retired from U.S. Steel as a crane operator. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII where he was awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Murray was a Volunteer of Mulga Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virgie Murray; sons, Ray Murray and Harry Murray; brothers, Hugh Donald Murray, Durl Thomas Murray and Delona Franklin Murray. He is survived by brother, Ed Murray of Sylacauga; sister-in-law, Robbie Blocker Murray of Sylacauga; Several Nieces and Nephews and Great Nieces and Great Nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at Curtis and Son North Chapel. Pallbearers will be Eddie Murray, Frankie Hamilton, Trey Turner, Jon Anderson, Rodney Duke.
