Mildred Briggs Obituary

Mildred Velde Briggs of Coatesville Born April 9, 1921 in Willistown, Mildred Velde Briggs resided in Eagle, Exton and Coatesville, and went to her heavenly mansion on May 1, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond P. Briggs; her sister; Elizabeth Slaughter; her mother, Elizabeth Davis Velde and her father Albert Velde. She is survived by her son, Raymond (Skip) Briggs of Honey Brook; two daughters, Arlene Briggs, and Gail Roy of Downingtown; five grandchildren and nine great- grandchildren. Her caregivers were Connie Proctor and Neighborhood Health Hospice Service. She last worked in the kitchen at Camilla Hall. Mildred enjoyed her family and friends; her home was always open to all. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, at Mauger Givnish Funeral Home, 24 Monument Ave., Malvern, PA 19355, with interment at Philadelphia Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, make a donation to Payable to CHOP; mail to The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia, Lockbox #1352, PO Box 8500, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352, in memorial to Mildred V.
