Bruce A. Campbell of West Chester, Pa. Bruce A. Campbell, 65, of West Chester, Pa. passed away on Oct. 22, 2012. Born in Wanaque, N.J., Bruce was the son of the late David & Agnes Campbell. Bruce served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal during the Viet Nam war. During that time he helped to save over 4800 men at the time of the fire in 1967. Bruce's successful career as a Registered Nurse spanned 30 years. He was loved and respected by both patients and families for helping them improve the quality of life for their loved ones. Bruce is survived by his wife, Melissa DeLong Campbell, his brother, David Campbell, and sisters; Sherry Jobes, Betty Shields, and Edith Perrone of Wanaque, N.J. A gathering for family and friends will be held in mid-November. Bruce was a great nurse who really cared about his patients! He was my mother's nurse for a year before her death and she had very kind words for him! I'm sure he will be missed by everyone who knew him.
