DeGezelle, Verna M.* - Glenmoore  
Verna M. DeGezelle, formerly of Glenmoore Verna M. DeGezelle, 92, formerly of Glenmoore, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the Lancaster General Hospital. She was the widow of Maurice DeGezelle who died in 1997. Born in New Bloomfield, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George and Florence Borrell Hoffman. Verna was a member of the Glenmoore United Methodist Church. She was also a founding member of the Glenmoore Garden Club and a long time volunteer at the Brandywine Hospital. She enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking and gardening. She is survived by five children: Darlene F., wife of Robert J. Marsh of Elverson, Robert M. DeGezelle and wife Kathy of Yorklyn, Del., Donald A. DeGezelle of Pottstown, David G. DeGezelle and wife Diane of Coatesville and Diane M., wife of David DePew of Atglen, 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 2 at 12 noon from the Glenmoore United Methodist Church, 1920 Creek Road, Glenmoore, PA 19343 followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Visitation at the church will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Glenmoore United Methodist Church at the above address. DelMonte, Bryan G.* - East Goshen Township  
Bryan G. Del Monte of East Goshen Township Bryan G. Del Monte, 56, of East Goshen Township in Chester County passed away on March 20, 2015 after 16 months from acute myeloid leukemia. He is survived by his wife Colleen M. (nee Muscarella); his father Nicholas Del Monte; sister Carisa Collins; brother Alan Del Monte; and several loving nieces and a nephew. He was predeceased by his mother, Ruth Del Monte. Bryan and Colleen met in Cleveland and were together over 28 years. They enjoyed traveling, including ski trips, and recreational boating on the Chesapeake Bay for 11 years and were members of the first Kingsway Power Squadron, then later the Main Line Sail and Power Squadron. They also enjoyed fly fishing in Chester County and local trips to Marsh Creek State Park in more recent years. Bryan worked in environmental health and safety for his entire career. He was a member of the Conservancy Board of East Goshen Township and of Chester-Ridley-Crum Watersheds Association after taking an early retirement. He was a model railroader with special interest in the White Pass & Yukon Railway and a member of the South Eastern Pennsylvania Garden Railway Society for approximately 15 years. He volunteered at Garden Railway exhibit at Longwood Gardens for 10 years, more recently working part-time there before his illness. He was a regular member of the Pennsylvania Live Steamers, where he enjoyed both running his G-scale model trains and taking rides behind the much large ride on trains. He also enjoyed flying radio control model airplanes, while being a member of the Valley Forge Signal Seekers for approximately 10 years. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Thursday March 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. at The D’Anjolell Memorial Home of Malvern/Frazer 392 E. Lancaster Ave., Frazer PA 19355 (entrance at Church Rd and Route 30). Relatives and friends are also invited to his Funeral Mass on Friday March 27, at 10 a.m. in the Daylesford Abbey, 220 S. DiFilippo, Francis R. "Frank"* - West Grove  
Francis “Frank” R. DiFilippo of West Grove, Pa. Francis “Frank” R. DiFilippo, 92 of West Grove died Sunday March 22, 2015 at Jennersville Regional Hospital in West Grove surrounded by his beloved granddaughters. He was the husband of Miranda Quartessi DiFilippo who died in 2004 and with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Born in Camden, N.J., he was the son of the late Nazarene and the late Mary Genova DiFilippo. Frank served our country during World War II in the Army and was stationed all over Europe. He owned and operated DiFilippo mushrooms in Avondale for many years and late in his career worked for Peco in West Grove. He was a member of Assumption BVM Church in West Grove. He enjoyed playing cards with his buddies at “Tuffies Club”. Most of all, Frank cherished his time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include three granddaughters, Kelly Neely (Brian) of West Grove, Beth Decker (Mike) of Landenberg, and Andrea Sarkissian (Dan) of Avondale; eight great-grandchildren, Lauren, Matthew, Miranda, Joey, Andrew, Julia, Lyla and Jude; one brother, James L. DiFilippo (Mae) of Wilmington Del. and his daughter-in-law Barbara DiFilippo McGee (Ed) of West Grove. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his son Frank P. DiFilippo in 1999 and two sisters and four brothers. You are invited to visit with Frank’s family and friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday March 26 at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 300 State Rd. West Grove, PA 19390. His Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Kennett Square. Dunn, Mary (Brady)* - Spring City  
Mary (Brady) Dunn, beloved wife of the late Robert Michael Dunn of Chester Springs, Pa. died on Friday, March 20, 2015, at her residence. Born in Philadelphia, Mary was the daughter of the late John Russell and Anna (Imms) Brady. Mary was raised in West Philadelphia but resided most of her life in Chester Springs. Mary was a 1936 graduate of West Philadelphia Catholic Girls School. She was employed for many years as supervisor for the former Bell Tel Co. A carriage enthusiast, she was a member of the American Driving Society, the Brandywine Valley Driving Club and the Ludwig's Corner Riding and Driving Club and the Northern Chester County 4-H Light Horse and Pony Club. Mary was also a member of St. Elizabeth Parish, Upper Uwchlan Township. Mary is survived by daughters: Anne D. wife of John Hughes of Exton and Frances M. Dunn wife of Charles Roulston of Chester Springs, sons: Richard M. Dunn of Chester Springs and John R. Dunn VMD husband to Ann Girard of St. Peter's. and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter: Barbara J. Dunn, granddaughter: Jennifer Dunn and sisters: Barbara Ann Brady and Patty Weaver and brother: Jack Brady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Wednesday March 25 at 10 a.m. at the St. Elizabeth Parish 100 Fellowship Road Chester Springs, PA 19425, The Rev. Thomas M. Mullin officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held Wednesday at the church from 9-10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in her memory to the Chester County SPCA 1212 Phoenixville Pike West Chester, PA 19380.
