Atwell, Hazel Suzie G.* - Chadds Ford  
Hazel ‘Suzie’ G. Atwell of Chadds Ford Hazel ‘Suzie’ G. Atwell passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015. Hazel is survived by her children John Charles Atwell of Foothills Ranch, Calif.; Judy A. Turner (Ken) of Glen Mills and David G. Atwell (Joanne) of Cottage Grove, Minn. She is also survived by eight grandchildren. Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 28 in the Bethlehem United Methodist Church, 4 Westtown Rd., Thornton, Pa. 19373 where friends may call after 9 a.m. Burial Private. Ballentine Sr., John E.* - Downingtown  
John E. Ballentine Sr. of Downingtown John E. Ballentine Sr., 88, passed away on Sunday, August 23, 2015, at Brandywine Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Carrie E. Lammey Ballentine, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2007. Born in Glenmoore, he was the son of the late Edward and Jeanette Yoder Ballentine. He worked for Giant Foods in the produce department for 23 years. John loved shooting darts, playing cards, quoits and enjoyed bowling. He also enjoyed gardening, taking care of his property and watching his family play softball. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his three children, John, Jr. (Diana), Joseph M. (Karen) and Laura J. Haggerty (Kevin); three brothers, James (Dorothy), Clarence and Thomas (Ethel); two grandchildren, John Michael Ballentine and Jennifer D’Hulster and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Robert Craig Ballentine and by his sister, Florence Dowlin. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 1 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. A visitation will also be held on Monday evening, August 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Ben, James E.* - Coatesville  
James E. Ben of Coatesville James E. Ben, 85, passed away in the Brandywine Hall Nursing Facility on August 23, 2015. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late James E. and Elizabeth Pearson Ben. He was husband of Helen E. Baker Ben with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. He retired from the Luken's Steel Company of Coatesville. He was a member of the New Life In Christ Fellowship in Coatesville. In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, James "Eddie" Ben (Stacy) of Coatesville; his daughters, Carla B. Kelly (Kevin) of Downingtown and Pearl Ben Gadson of Coatesville; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; three brothers, Rolland Ben, Donald Ben and Emery Ben; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. He was predeceased by his son, Teddy Ben. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 28, at 10 a.m. from the New Life In Christ Fellowship, One South Fifth Avenue, Coatesville. Bohem, Robert M.* - Glenmoore  
Robert M. Bohem of Glenmoore Robert M. Bohem, 71, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Sandra Bohem, with whom he shared 41 years of marriage. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., he was the son of the late Eugene M. Bohem and the late Marguerite S. Bohem. Upon graduating from Harriton High School, he attended Penn State where he received a B.A. in Psychology. Afterwards, he attended San Diego State where he earned a Master’s Degree in Industrial Psychology. Upon graduation, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant and served his country as an Army Officer in Vietnam. Rob worked as a real estate appraiser for 40 years and was the founder of Bohem Associates. He enjoyed reading, traveling, and watching movies. He was a history buff who thoroughly enjoyed engaging friends and family in conversation. He loved words and language and was a collector of clever quotes and words of wisdom. He was a loving father to Kirk (Cathy), Shannon (Todd), Jacob (Kelly), and Jenny (Jon). In addition to his four children, he is survived by his grandchildren, Nathaniel, Daniel, Kathryn, Max, Addy, Jasmine, Vanessa, and Faith. Also, he was a caring brother to Tony Bohem (Meg), Margot Linfoot (Dave), Mary Gangl (Pete), and Cathy Caiazza (Ken). A private military service, with full honors, will be held at Indiantown Gap and a family celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Coatesville VA Medical Center ( www.coatesvilleva.gov ), or a charity of your choice.

Bomberger, John* - Oxford, Pa  
John R. ‘Jack’ Bomberger of Oxford John R. “Jack” Bomberger, 57, passed away at home on Saturday, August 15, 2015. Jack was born in Coatesville, and attended Carson Long Military Academy in New Bloomfield, Pa. He served 6 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked for the Chrysler Corporation where he was Committeeman of District 4. He loved to hunt, fish, barbecuing and enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his wife, Susan Bradley of Oxford; his parents, John and Grace Bomberger of Palmyra, Va.; his sister, Ann Bomberger of Rumson, N.J.; his sister-in-law, Tina Pendergast, his brothers-in-law, Thomas Bradley, Steven Bradley, Mark Elliot and Jack Elliot. He was predeceased by his son, Jason Bradley. The family would like to thank Dr. Martha Hosford for her care of Jack during his illness. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 28, at 1 p.m. at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Rd., Pike Creek, where friends may visit with the family from 12 noon to 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Brandywine River Valley Home Health Care and Hospice, 121 Bell Tower Rd., Oxford, PA, 19363.
