Bruehlman, Leanora D.* - Kennett Square, Pa  
Leanora D. Bruehlman of Kennett Square Leanora D. Bruehlman, age 92, died peacefully in her room on April 22 at Kendal at Longwood retirement community in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Lea was born on April 4, 1923 in Akron, Ohio. She attended the Ohio State University, where she met her late husband, Richard J. (Dick) Bruehlman. She lived most of her adult life in Wilmington, Delaware, before moving to Kendal in 2006. Lea earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Delaware in 1975. She worked for over 20 years with the Delaware Preschool Association, first as a teacher and later serving as executive director. She was a member of the League of Women Voters; volunteered at Neighborhood House, the Claymont Library, and the Winterthur museum; and was active in the knitting and garden clubs at Kendal. Lea’s hobbies included tennis, gardening, and collecting antique bottles. She is survived by her brothers Daniel Drain of Sun City, Florida and Capt John Drain of McLean, Virginia. Lea leaves behind four loving children and their spouses: Lynne Bruehlman and her husband Vance Senecal of St. Joseph, Michigan; Barbara Ryan of Seattle, Washington; Richard Bruehlman and his wife Patricia McGuire of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Ronald Bruehlman and his wife Janet of Ridgefield, Connecticut. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Emma Bruehlman-Senecal of El Cerrito, California; Luke Bruehlman and Alyssa Bruehlman of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Rachel and Matthew Bruehlman of Ridgefield, Connecticut; and Rebecca Bruehlman of New York, New York. A memorial service to celebrate Lea’s life will be held on Saturday, May 9 at 2 p.m. at Kendal at Longwood, 1109 E. Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Donations may be made to the Kendal Crosslands Communities Reserve Fund at P.O. Box 100, Kennett Square, PA 19348 or to the Claymont Library at 400 Lenape Way, Claymont, DE 19703.

Burns, Anna Jean* - Parkesburg  
Anna Jean Burns, 85, formerly of Gap, passed away on Saturday, April 18th, 2015 at Pocopson Home of West Chester. She was the widow of the late Merrill E. Burns, who passed away in 1985. Born in Hollidaysburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Catherine and Geoffrey Leberfinger. She was a member of the Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church in Parkesburg. She is survived by four children: Deborah Krempa, wife of John, of Coatesville, Timothy A. Burns, husband of Debra, of Parkesburg, Thomas P. Burns, husband of Mary Beth, of Coatesville and Gary E. Burns of Coatesville; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and siblings, Helen Eckley of Hollidaysburg, Paul Leberfinger of Lititz, Donald Leberfinger of New Mexico and Robert Leberfinger of Altoona. She was predeceased by her brother, Lawrence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 West Second Ave., Parkesburg, Pa. followed by interment in the Parkesburg Catholic Cemetery. The viewing will be held at the Church from 10 to 11 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Wilde Funeral Home of Parkesburg. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com.
