Jackson, Frances D.* - Oxford  
Frances D. Jackson of Oxford, PA Frances D. Jackson, 84, of passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at her home. Born in New London Township, Chester County, PA, August 18, 1931, daughter to Vincent and Lydia Janney, and sister to Shirley Queen. Raised in Lewisville, Elk Township, PA. She was an avid photographer of historical places in Oxford and neighboring townships, and of neighborhood scenes and people. From 1958-1961 she served as a Brownie Scout Leader, and Neighborhood Chairman of the Oxford Girl Scouts. In 1988, she and her sister compiled a book on the Janney Family, as well as other families in relation. In November of 2002, they also compiled a history of the St. John’s UMC of Lewisville, and a pictorial directory in 2003. Throughout her years she has worked for Chrysler in Newark, DE, as well as a bookkeeper at Waltons Chevrolet and Oldsmobile. Graduate of Oxford High School, class of 1949, of which she was the Vice-President, and served in that capacity for 50 years following graduation with reunion plans, etc. She was an active member of the St. John’s United Methodist Church in Lewisville, PA, in early years, later joining the Oxford Presbyterian Church Dec. 1958. Former Deacon in the Oxford Presbyterian Church, Key Person for the Presbyterian Homes from OPC, and also served many positions within the Church’s Women’s Association in former years. Former Member of the Oxford Research Club, the Oxford Senior Center, and the board of the Oxford Area Historical Association. Survivors Include: Her two sons; Randall Davis of Bayview, Maryland, and Steve Jackson of Oxford, Pennsylvania. Her grandchildren; Joshua Davis, Jeremiah Davis and Travis Davis -- Sons of Mitchell Davis, deceased. Also Lauren Davis, and Rebecca Davis -- Daughters of Randall Davis. Her two nephews; Mark Pennington and Vincent Pennington of Delaware. Predeceased by first husband, Howard Davis, March 10, 1965, oldest son, Mitchell Davis, June 14, 1999, second husband, J. Robert Jackson, December 24, 1999, and sister, Shirley Queen, December 4, 2003. She had the most generous, loving heart and had touched so many people with her presence. Her family and friends will always be thankful for the gift that was her life. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, June 29, at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Pine St., Oxford, PA, where friends may visit from 10-11 am Wednesday and 6-8 pm Tuesday. Interment will be in Oxford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125. Lambert, Robert E.* - West Chester  
Robert E. Lambert of West Chester Robert E. Lambert, 87, of West Chester, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2016. He was the husband of Marilyn A. Lambert, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage before she passed away in 2014. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John M. and Esther Langebartel Lambert. He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy and a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. He worked as an executive for Lukens Steel Company for 31 years. He was also an active member of the West Goshen Township Board for 31 years, serving as supervisor for 23 of those years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of West Chester, loved to golf and was an avid woodworker. He was a longtime member of West Chester Golf and Country Club and was an avid bridge player. Robert is survived by his children, Sandra Ream (Barry) and Gary Lambert (Ro); grandsons, Andrew and Christopher Ream and Kyle and Troy Lambert; great granddaughter, Elizabeth Marilyn Lambert; and special friend, Doris Campbell. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Wellington at Hershey’s Mill, 1361 E. Boot Rd., West Chester, PA 19380. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to United Methodist Church of West Chester, 129 S.
