Alan Lee Korevec

Alan Lee Korevec of West Chester Alan Lee Korevec, 67, of West Chester, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester following a lengthy illness. Born in Chicago, Ill. on May 29, 1945, he was the son of the late Lee and Edna Korevec. He also shared 31 years of marriage with his late wife, Joan Montgomery Korevec, who died in 2011. Al, as he was known to his friends and family, called West Chester home for many years. A graduate of Henderson High School, he earned a B.S. in mathematics from Penn State University. He was employed by QVC for the last 23 years. An avid golfer, bowler and sports fan, he enjoyed attending golf tournaments in the Philadelphia area and watching college football and basketball. He is survived by his stepsons, Keith A. Moyer of West Chester and Mark M. Moyer of Thornton and granddaughters, Taylor and Alexis Moyer of Kimberton. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service in celebration of Al's life at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 29 at the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home Inc., 410 N. Church St., West Chester, 610-696-1181, www.Della FH. com. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
