Bertha Bandel

Bertha Bandel of West Chester Bertha Bandel, 93, of West Chester, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at Brandywine Hall Care Center. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Eugene H. and Anna Hagner Bandel. She lived in West Chester her entire life and worked as a bakery assistant at Bandel's Bakery, West Chester. She was a member of Olive Street Presbyterian Church in Coatesville. Bertha was the last of her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Dorothy, Anna, Emma, Helen, Martha, Estella and Eugene Bandel Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Founds Funeral Home, Inc., 229 South High Street, West Chester, 610-696-0134, where friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Green Mount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bertha's name to the Olive Street Presbyterian Church, 1400 Olive Street, Coatesville, PA 19320; or to the Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
