Betty J. Davidson of Coatesville Betty J. Davidson, 86, of Coatesville, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at her home. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Barton and Ida White Wallace and the wife of the late William J. Davidson, who died in January 1987. Betty was a member of Olivet United Methodist Church, Coatesville. Betty worked at Wallick's Dress Company and was a bookkeeper at Slater System, Coatesville. She worked at the former Coach & Four and Moose Lodge. Betty was a Gold Star Mother, a member of West End Fire Company, a life member of the Purple Heart, an auxiliary member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1153/ Women of the Moose 153, a member of the Coatesville Area Senior Center and a life member of the VFW Post 287, Coatesville Sahler Sedan Post. Betty is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Lou Linton with whom she resided and Faith Holcomb of Oxford; two sons, Park, of Honey Brook and Paul H. of Portsmouth, Va.; and her grandson, Robert J. Bender, Jr., whom she raised, 14 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great- grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sons, William J. Davidson, Jr., Fredrick Davidson and Thomas Davidson; grandson, Charles L. Holcomb; and son-in-law, Leroy Linton. Interment will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, in Fairview Cemetery. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Olivet United Methodist Church, 310 East Chestnut Street, Coatesville.
