Bronise Amelia Constance August Dunnington of Downingtown Bronise Amelia Constance August Dunnington, 90 of Downingtown, died on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester. Bronise was the wife of the late Bruce Willard Dunnington. Born in Dayton, Ohio, Bronise lived most of her life in Eastern Pa. and Wilmington, Del. Heavily involved in artistic fields, she trained with Carolyn Wyeth and later with Edward Loeper. Bronise was involved in many charities and also worked with the Chester County Hospital Auxiliary in the 70's and 80's. She always kept herself fit by swimming and jogging. Bronise loved sailing and won many races with her family in the 60's and 70's. Bronise was a strong and loving mother who was loved by all and was affectionately known as "The Duchess of Ashbridge Manor" where she resided for five happy years in Downingtown. She is survived by her son, Glenn Edward Dunnington and his wife Carol Crawford Dunnington of Morris Plains, N.J., their son Collin Crawford Dunnington; and her daughter, Pamela Ann Volpone and her husband Nicholas A. Volpone, Jr. of Marshallton, Pa. A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Ashbridge Manor, 971 East Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, PA 19335.
